Acts 29 Ministries is a "para-church" ministry which conducts teaching and training seminars across the country and around the world. Founded in Dallas, Texas as the Episcopal Charismatic Fellowship on Feb. 12, 1973, the ministry has since undergone two name changes and several location changes. item Revised Common Lectionary - Vanderbuilt Divinity Library
The Revised Common Lectionary is a three-year cycle of weekly lections used to varying degrees by the vast majority of mainline Protestant churches in Canada and the United States. The RCL is built around the seasons of the Church Year, and includes four lections for each Sunday, as well as additional readings for major feast days. During most of the year, the lections are: a reading from the Hebrew Bible, a Psalm, a reading from the Epistles, and a Gospel reading.

On 29th June 2008, the Global Anglican Future Conference, GAFCON, issued the Jerusalem Declaration and announced the establishment of "a fellowship of confessing Anglicans for the benefit of the Church and the furtherance of its mission." The FCA is a fellowship of people united in the communion of the one Spirit and committed to work and pray together in the common mission of Christ. It is a 'confessing fellowship' in that its members confess the faith of Christ crucified, stand firm for the gospel in the global and Anglican context, and affirm a contemporary rule, the Jerusalem Declaration, to guide the movement for the future.

The birth of the CEC is part of a larger movement among Christians that seeks a convergence of the ancient stream of catholicity with the equally ancient evangelical and charismatic streams. In 1976 our pastors, Bill and Melinda Fish, came to Pittsburgh from Dallas, TX, where Pastor Bill Fish had seen a vision of a mighty river flowing down a mountain, breaking a dam and the rivers' waters flowing through a small, weather-beaten church in the middle of a desert. As the water spread through the desert, life sprang up around it. Church of the Risen Saviour was founded in Trafford, PA, in 1979 as an interdenominational charismatic fellowship. Since 1994, the River has flowed into and through our lives bringing salvation, deliverance, healing, and a renewing of our first-love passion for Jesus. In these days we are seeing the fulfillment of the prophetic words spoken over us both corporately and individually as He fills us with His love and sends us to the nations. We believe that the best is yet to come.
