MOPS

"Better Moms Make A Better World." This is the motto of MOPS International. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) at Church of the Word is a ministry that strives to do just that.

For those of us in this season of life with little ones at home, we can often feel stressed, frazzled, and sometimes alone. Our MOPS group is a place where many of us find out that we are not alone in the struggles of motherhood.

We meet twice each month, to laugh, learn, and grow together, all while our children are being lovingly cared for in their own classrooms. And it is a place where the love of Jesus Christ is shared through friendship and fun.

Our group currently serves over 30 mothers of preschoolers and their more than 50 children.

In addition to meeting twice each month at Church of the Word, we enjoy other activities outside of our regular meetings. We enjoy playdates, Mom's Night Out, and Date Night.

The thing that we just might be most famous for is our HUGE Toy and Clothing Consignment sale which is held in the Spring and Fall. As our only fundraiser, the sales enables us to hire loving teachers to care for our little ones while we get some "Mommy" time.
