Verse of the Day
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. — 1 John 1:7 (NIV)

Help Groups

God grant me the serenity to accept things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time,
accepting hardship as a pathway to peace.
Taking as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it.
Trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will; so that I may be reasonably happy in this life, and supremely happy, with You, forever in the next. Amen.

SUPPORT and RECOVERY GROUP MEETINGS ~

Church of the Word shares the blessing of its facilities with community groups designed to be healing hands in the lives of those struggling in any way, especially with loss, addictions, and illness. Groups are independent of Church of the Word, but each group leader will respect your privacy and only desires to help you in your need or come alongside you in your recovery. Of course, if you’re also seeking spiritual support and would like to speak to clergy, please feel free to contact Pastor Robin Adams and he will keep your confidence and pray with you or counsel you as you are led. You may reach him at 703-754-9673 or pastor@churchofthword.net.
