Frank Griswold, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, has called for a Joint Session for Wednesday, June 21 to address the Windsor Report. This would be a historic moment for the church to see if the Episcopal Church is at a place where it can be honest and clear about where the church stands regarding the requests made to it by the Anglican Communion.
The Bishops are now discussing what will be presented at the Joint Session.
7:30 p.m. - Frank Griswold is now saying that the bishops of the Special Committee meet with their counterparts in the House of Deputies to put something together as direct as possible that might be a form for reconsideration in the House of Deputies and what might ultimately be a mind of the house from the Bishops so that on Wednesday that both houses may do something and concur or the House of Bishops alone will pass a Mind of the House alone.
A request has been made whether there will be a violation of canons in addressing the requests made in the Windsor.
JUST IN - The House of Deputies are being informed of the Joint Session which will be after the Eucharist on Wednesday morning.
